Some of my life's experiences expressed through photography.

Hi, my name is Scot Klein, welcome to my blog. This blog exposes certain activities in my life which I decide to photograph. I enjoy photography more than writing, so my descriptions might be vague and possibly pointless. I like the photography to speak for itself. Please comment, I like to hear your opinions. Also, if you happen to be around when I'm taking pictures and I don't include any pictures of you, please let me know and I'll try and get one up there.
For those interested, most of the time I am shooting on my Canon 30D (pre March 2007 Canon Digital Rebel XT) with either my 50mm f/1.4 or 15mm f/2.8 fisheye. I also have a 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 and a 70-300mm f/4-5.6. Sometimes I just carry around my Canon SD200 point-and-shoot. Let me know if you are interested in any of this and I'd love to share what I know.

P.S. If anyone wants the full resolution images for any purpose, just let me know.

Where the Pines Meet the Sea

Cambria, their slogan is "Where the Pines Meet the Sea". It's just 6 miles south of Hearst Castle on the 1. I was up there with Curtis this weekend to film a wedding and we stayed at the Cambria Pines Lodge.
Pros: memory-foam matresses, down comfortors and pillows, elephant seals, crazy locals, beautiful
Cons: no cell service, allergies, no good food or service to go along with it, cold, crazy locals, alergies (it is mentioned twice because i'm still all stuffed up), absolutely nothing around

establishing shot

who uses payphones any more?

we decided to make a stop at the Cambria Cemetary, thought it might be interesting, it sure was

Cambria Pines Lodge had a flower garden, where the wedding ceremony was held, it was beautiful

this is the beginning of the pathway for our nature walk along the coast to get some cool shots

sweet benches along this 1.5 mile walk

decided to go off the trail down the cliff while curtis got a second of service on his phone, and i needed a self portrait

got some water on the lens for this shot

i convinced curtis to come down once he got off the phone

you gotta go when you gotta go

the birds must have got him, poor guy

we went to check out the elephant seals.... interesting

we paid mr. colbert a visit on the way home
