Some of my life's experiences expressed through photography.

Hi, my name is Scot Klein, welcome to my blog. This blog exposes certain activities in my life which I decide to photograph. I enjoy photography more than writing, so my descriptions might be vague and possibly pointless. I like the photography to speak for itself. Please comment, I like to hear your opinions. Also, if you happen to be around when I'm taking pictures and I don't include any pictures of you, please let me know and I'll try and get one up there.
For those interested, most of the time I am shooting on my Canon 30D (pre March 2007 Canon Digital Rebel XT) with either my 50mm f/1.4 or 15mm f/2.8 fisheye. I also have a 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 and a 70-300mm f/4-5.6. Sometimes I just carry around my Canon SD200 point-and-shoot. Let me know if you are interested in any of this and I'd love to share what I know.

P.S. If anyone wants the full resolution images for any purpose, just let me know.

FREEZING VEGAS

I have never been to Las Vegas in the winter, my oh my can it get cold there. It did not snow on us there but there was some ice on the roads and fountains in front of hotels were frozen over. I got to go out to Vegas over this MLK weekend with Nicole and her parents because they have a time share in the Polo Towers next to the MGM grand. It was very hospitable of them to let me stay and spend time with them. Nicole and I drove out there Saturday night and we just got home this evening (Tuesday). I wasn't planning on doing much, if any, gambling since Nicole isn't much of the gambling type and I lost enough in Primm last weekend; though we did play some Pai Gow Poker, I walked away even and Nicole won $20. With only spending an hour of our trip gambling I got to experience Vegas for more than your typical trip. I was too lazy to do much editing to the pics, but check them out and I'll do some explaining along the way.

This was our view from our room, those are the MGM condo towers that are under construction.

BIRDS!

Nicole helpin me out with carrying around an extra lens.

I had to change up the lens to the 50 for this line up of statues in front of the Luxor.

We did the shark reef tour at the Mandalay Bay, it was awesome, this is the World's second largest lizard, I think.

This was the rarest of species among the sharks.

THE hotel had some cool art on the walls near the restaurants. It was picture worthy.

More cool art in a fountain type in front of a Chinese restaurant.

The Grand lion looking over New York.

The real lion that they keep at the MGM.

In the Coca Cola store, taking a picture with the bear seemed the thing to do.

This was my first time to see in person the water/light show in front of the Bellagio, it was so cold outside.

Took this while warming up in the lobby at the Bellagio before our walk back in the freezing cold.

Nicole got us in VIP to club Jet at The Mirage and I got bored while waiting for her to get ready so I snapped off some shots of myself.

Before we went to the club, we went to Stack Lounge & Restaurant in The Mirage. The food and atmosphere were awesome, service was so-so, but the creme brule was OUT OF THIS WORLD, I know this because I am a connoisseur of creme brule.

at the club

just got this image off of VegasExposure.com

You have been during winter. Remember when we went to Vegas for my soccer games? It was winter then, and it was freezing! It was colder in Phoenix this weekend!
